Based in Cape Town, dilli is a design studio focused on material, repetition and form. Combining hands-on making with digital processes, the studio creates bold, sculptural furniture that moves between object and architecture. Each piece is shaped by curiosity, colour and a continual search for new ways to experience everyday furniture.
2017
Founded in 2017 by Dutch designer Dille Thomas, the studio emerged from an exploration of organic curvature and modular systems. Over time, the work has evolved through material research and the continued refinement of form.
2022
The practice relocates to Cape Town, South Africa, marking a new chapter and the evolution into studio dilli.
Today
Today, studio dilli produces defined objects and commissioned work in small runs and one-offs, collaborating with clients and architects to create furniture that is expressive and enduring.
